We are a tight-knit, agile team obsessed with delivering high-impact media results for our clients. The Role

This is not a role for someone looking to sit behind a tracker and clock client hours. We want someone who reads the news in the morning, who sees a profile piece and immediately thinks about who else deserves that coverage, and who gets genuinely excited about helping a founder find their voice.

As Account Manager, you will take ownership of a portfolio of founder-led and entrepreneurial clients, working closely with the senior team to deliver PR, media and thought leadership campaigns that are as sharp in strategy as they are in execution.

You will be managing day-to-day relationships, driving proactive media activity, developing angles and stories that resonate, and building the kind of coverage that actually moves the needle.

This role reports directly into Rebecca Emery as the founder.

 

Key Responsibilities

1. Day-to-day account management

  • Managing a portfolio of founder-led clients with support and oversight from the senior team

  • Acting as a primary point of contact, maintaining a high standard of day-to-day responsiveness and client service

  • Keeping client accounts organised and on track – working with our Account Executive and freelancers to ensure tasks are being fulfilled

  • Communicating proactively with clients, briefing them on upcoming activity and providing regular updates

  • Liaising with a wide range of external stakeholders, journalists and industry contacts on behalf of clients

2. PR, media & campaign delivery

  • Developing and delivering founder profile, thought leadership and news-driven PR campaigns

  • Proactively monitoring the media and cultural landscape to identify relevant opportunities and advise clients accordingly

  • Crafting compelling story angles, pitches and press materials that earn top-tier coverage

  • Managing media relationships directly, building a strong and diverse journalist and editor contact list

  • Providing spokespeople, commentary and background briefings to media in a timely and accurate way

  • Tracking, analysing and reporting on media coverage and campaign performance

3. Client growth & agency contribution

  • Providing proactive counsel and creative thinking that pushes clients' communications forward

  • Supporting the delivery of client KPIs and helping to grow existing accounts

  • Contributing to new business pitches and integrated proposals as required

  • Staying on top of PR and digital trends, tools and best practice, and bringing fresh thinking to the team

4. Team & wider contribution

  • Supporting and mentoring junior team members where relevant

  • Contributing actively to internal discussions, team culture and agency development

  • Supporting with content creation for client and NBY channels where needed

 

What You Bring to the Table

  • Minimum two-three years' experience in a PR agency at Senior Account Executive to Account Manager level

  • A genuine interest in founder-led businesses, entrepreneurship and the sectors we work in which includes wellbeing, fitness, marketing, tech, property.

  • Strong media relations skills and an existing network of relevant journalist, editor and broadcaster contacts

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, you can write a sharp press release, a compelling pitch and a clear client email with equal ease

  • Commercially aware, with the confidence to manage client relationships and handle difficult conversations when needed

  • Well-organised, with strong administrative instincts and an ability to keep multiple projects moving simultaneously

  • Proactive and resourceful

  • Strong understanding of the UK media landscape (print, online, broadcast and social)

  • Comfortable working in a lean, senior-led team where initiative and ownership matter

  • Familiarity with digital channels and how they complement a PR strategy
